Happy March, friends of Adam!
Adam and I hope that you are doing well and if you live in this neck of the woods, that you survived the double Nor’easters unscathed. Tabby’s Place fared well and enjoyed some visitors taking refuge from having no electricity or heat at their homes. What a perfect place to spend some time when your house is dark and cold! The cats were more than happy to warm our neighbors’ laps!
Our cutie pie, Adam, is enjoying extra playtime this month, courtesy of one of our volunteer photographers. Adam is one of her regular subjects, and she’s had fun getting “action shots” of him playing with wand toys. However, he’ll only play if she climbs the stepladder to get to him; no unnecessary exertion for this boy.
In medical news, Adam was seen straining to poop on one occasion, but his colon was empty when our vet team checked it. Leave it to Adam to remain a mystery in a myriad of ways.
Adam has been back to his rambunctious ways this month, enjoying lots of visits from potential adopters. Sadly, they have not been there to meet our adorable tabby, but a few of his roommates. Adam now shares his suite with sweet youngsters Ronnie, Bassoon, and Paulie. Several families who have been looking for a young cat to add to their family have spent some quality time in Suite A playing with these sweet kitties. Luckily for Adam, they have all enjoyed playing with him too. So far, none of Adam’s friends have been adopted, but I know their time is coming soon. They are too cute to resist!
Adam and Boom make it very interesting to try and introduce potential adopters to other cats. This past weekend a family of five came in to meet Paulie. Adam spent several minutes climbing up the man of the family’s leg and asking to be petted. He was actually being rather polite, so I let the interaction continue. The man was enjoying Adam and his teenage daughters were enjoying watching the show! Then the girls lured Adam away with a wand toy so that the parents could meet and talk to Paulie. Adam behaved very well and followed the girls and enjoyed getting to know them.
Boom, on the other hand, was very much in the way and spent most of the time trying to get into the woman’s purse and trying to steal one of the daughters’ cell phones out of her back pocket! Who knew we had a little thief among us?!
So you can see that Adam is enjoying life and celebrating in all the things that he knows spring will be bringing his way. Soon he will be back out in his solarium, soaking up the sun. Until that time comes, he has loads of new friends and playmates visiting his suite to keep him occupied.
Adam sends his love and thanks you for all that you do for him. He knows that it is thanks to you and your love that he has such a wonderful place to call home. Enjoy the start of spring, friends! Until next time…
