Update for Adam

Happy February, friends of Adam!

Our boy is enjoying a wonderful month.

Could it really be? Is Suite C…clean? While we wouldn’t go quite that far, both Adam and fellow “Pooper On All Surfaces” Hootz have been doing just beautifully, which makes their abode much fresher. Although they are both still unable to control when and where they “go,” it helps a great deal when they’re not suffering from diarrhea, which they haven’t been of late. If you ask Adam, he’s not suffering from anything these days, as our boy is in high spirits and loving life — and people.

The only thing that Adam is not loving lately is the unwelcoming way he is being treated by Mango. Mango is usually so tolerant of Adam’s crazy antics that I’m actually amazed this hasn’t happened sooner, but our lovely orange boy has been seen whacking Adam over the head on several occasions. It could be that it has been so cold that Adam hasn’t been in the solarium as much and they have been sharing the same space for too long. I think everyone in New Jersey is getting a little bit of cabin fever at this point in the winter of endless snow. Or it could be that Adam has finally harassed Mango into utter exasperation. Adam is often very overwhelming to the other cats whenever any humans are trying to interact with them. For now, Adam has an idea that he ran by me the other day to try and win back Mango’s heart.

Adam knows that February is the month of love. He has heard people talking about getting Valentine’s cards for the people that they care about, and he would like to do the same thing for the other cats in his world. He and I looked online for some great cards that he could give the other cats in his suite.

He rejected the box of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle cards. He also didn’t like the SpongeBob Squarepants cards. He does not understand the concept of square pants and thought it odd for Valentine’s Day! He finally found a site where you could make your own set of cards, and here is what he settled on.

For Opal, he found a blue card with a kitten on it that says “I’ve got a good feline about you!”

Shy is getting a long, skinny pink card that says “You’re just like bacon – you make everything better.”

Adam loves Hootz and wants to show her with this bright orange card… “You’re weird and I like that.”

For Virginia, he found the perfect heart shaped message… “I love you even though you’re mean to me all of the time.”

Natasha gets a lacy card that says “I wouldn’t trade you for a box of kittens.”

Finally, he found the perfect one for Mango, the real reason he was on a card search in the first place. “Be mine. It’s not like you’ve got options!”

Oh Adam! I know your heart is in the right place. It is so nice of you to want to give cards to your friends. I guess these cards really say it all. (They are all real cards!)

Adam found a card for you too, dear sponsors. “I’d spend all nine lives with you!” That is truly how Adam feels. He loves and appreciates all of you so much. Happy February to you from Adam. He sends a warm hug and some kitty kisses just for you!
