Update for Adam

Update for Adam

Welcome to March, Adam lovers!

Adam and I hope this update finds you dreaming of spring flowers. I’m not sure if that is what Adam is dreaming about, but with our quirky tabby boy, you never know!

Adam’s bladder is behaving beautifully. If only we could say the same about Adam himself. This month finds our boy on the offensive against new neighbors Macaroon and Lorelai. Macaroon gives as good as she gets, but poor Lorelai is petrified of Adam. As a result, we are looking to change Adam’s current behavior medication.

Meantime, our little guy is in stable health. He is no longer constipated, so we’ve discontinued his stool softener, and his bladder has been delightfully easy to express. (Ah, the things that delight us at Tabby’s Place.)

I really wish that I had better news in the Adam behavior department. While I am glad that some of his uncomfortable issues have resolved for the time being, I would love to be able to report that Adam was being nice to his neighbors. He really is a naughty little kitty! When I go in to visit him, he usually comes running towards the door. He has been roaming around the suite and then makes a beeline to come and greet me.

Most of the other cats are on the ramp, I assume hiding from Adam. The few cats on the floor of the suite are under the cabinet or hiding in a cubby. Adam really has put himself in charge of the room. It’s not as if the other cats are miserable or anything. They are fine. They just make sure that they are out of Adam’s way at all times. I’m sure this cramps their style a little bit. However, being away from Adam is probably a priority for all of Suite A. It really is a shame. Adam could be such a good friend if he tried.

So once again, we have a month of wacky Adam. Hopefully this new behavior medication will help, and Adam will become the sweet, loving animal that I know lurks inside of his stripy fur. I am waiting for the day!

Adam sends you his love. He appreciates all that you do for him, and he hopes that you are enjoying the first moments of spring. Soon he will be out in the solarium, and he hopes that you will take advantage of the nicer weather and come and visit with him. He promises to greet you with gusto!
