Update for Adam

Update for Adam

Hello my friends,

It is time for another month of Adam adventures. Our Adam is full of love, as always, and eager to share some news with you.

Adam tells me: “I got to meet some nice people from New York earlier this month. My friend Angela was showing them around the sanctuary, and I saw them through the glass, so I knew they were here. But they didn’t come to see me! I heard them down the hall in Suite B. Why would they need to be in Suite B? I am in Suite C and I am cute. So I yelled. And yelled. And yelled. The man said to Angela that there was obviously a cat that really wanted to see them, so they came to find me.

“As soon as they came in the Suite C solarium, I stopped meowing at the top of my lungs and began purring. Then I greeted them with the appropriateness that only I can bestow. After all, I like to think of myself as the Tabby’s Place welcoming committee. I had to be very sure that they left covered in my fur. It is a very important part of my mission. So I furred them.

“I have heard people here at Tabby’s Place talking about an upcoming holiday called Thanksgiving. I asked some of my more knowledgeable friends what this holiday is all about. They told me it is all about eating turkey. That didn’t seem quite right to me, so I asked my friend Sue. She’s the person who types these updates, since I can’t use a computer. Sue told me that people do eat turkey on this holiday, but really that Thanksgiving is a special time of year to think about all of the things that you are grateful for, and to be with the people you love. So I think I should let you know about all of the things that I am thankful for.

“I am very thankful for Hootz. You see, Hootz started to lose some weight and the people here at Tabby’s Place became concerned about her. Our suite is a no-food zone during the day, because some of my friends are a little jiggly. Well, thanks to Hootz, now there is food out in our solarium during the day. Since the jiggly kitties do not come out there, we can eat without worrying about them getting ‘too much of a good thing,’ as they say. So I want to say that I love Hootz!

“I am thankful for my ramp. I love my ramp. I love to run up my ramp and go to the solarium. I love to run down my ramp and jump from the cubbies. I love to run back up my ramp and stare at people and cats from up on top. I love to run back down my ramp and jump on the people. I love my ramp!

“I am thankful for my ladder. I sit on my ladder. I climb down my ladder. I climb up my ladder. I jump off my ladder. It is so much fun. I love my ladder!

“I am thankful for my toys. I love to play with my toys. I pounce on them. I rip them apart. I occasionally get to pee on them. I love my toys!

“I am thankful for the people who bring the yummy wet food. Every morning and every evening, wet food comes to visit (but it doesn’t stay very long)! The people come every day without fail. They are so special. I love the food fairies!

“I am thankful that Tabby’s Place has started a new program to help feral kitties. I was once a lost little kitten who was found and raised by people. I am so glad that I was found and now can live here at such a wonderful place. I have several new friends who used to be feral cats. They have told me about the difficulties of life on the streets. I am so glad that my special home is working to help make all kitties’ lives better, even those that live in the big outside world. I LOVE TABBY’S PLACE!

“I am thankful for my sponsors. You are the best people on the Earth. You love kitties like me, even though I am not perfect. Not everyone could love me, but you do. That makes you the most wonderful kind of people, the Adam loving people. I LOVE THE ADAM LOVING PEOPLE!

Thank you, kind Adam sponsors. As you can see, Adam loves everything in a very enthusiastic way. He sends you some of his very special cat fur to grace your Thanksgiving outfit this year. His mission is complete!
