Beloved Sponsor Friends,
WARNING: This is the best special update ever!!
I know you won’t believe this, as I’m still trying to process this news: I’ve been ADOPTED!!!!!
Yes, me—your sweet, mischievous, and energy-packed lap-loving kitty!
I am going home with a family that is very experienced with cats like me. In fact, about a year and a half ago, they adopted another long-time Tabby’s Place resident named Carrot, who is a senior and also incontinent.
Our advanced needs (having to get our bladders expressed) make it more difficult

for us to get adopted, but this family knows just what I need and is skilled in caring for a kitty like me!! Plus, they really, really wanted a lap kitty, and you know how much I love laps.
My forever family, who spent their entire lives growing up with cats and caring for community cats, have other kitties I can hang out with and engage in play, since I will be missing my BFF Colonel Peabody, my girlfriend Prescott, Olive Queen of the Lobby, and other kitties at Tabby’s Place.
My new sibling kitties, Fred and Lucy, are only 2 years old, so I am hoping they will match my energy, playfulness, and mischief-making. There is also a senior kitty named Tipper, who will probably sit by and watch our antics.
I’m not sure how Carrot will engage, but it is wonderful to know that we were both loved so very much at Tabby’s Place and now have a home to share.

One of my new family members, Johnathan, is 21 and has been volunteering at Tabby’s Place for a few years now. He is so excited to have me join the family. I can’t wait to adopt him, too!
When they let me know they would like to be my furever family, I gave them the best smile ever (see photo)!
I will be forever grateful for many things, but especially the following…
- The kind people in Lebanon who rescued me and made sure I made it to Tabby’s Place
- My time at Tabby’s Place and the love and care the staff and volunteers (and other kitties) gave me, and…
- Your steadfast love and support, so I could always get what I needed to be happy and healthy at Tabby’s Place.
Thank you for being so good to me and for reading all my happenings each month!

Though I won’t be at Tabby’s Place, I will remember all of you fondly and keep a special place in my heart for you forever.
Love and kitty hugs and kisses,
Hips
A special “P.S.” from my faithful correspondent, Mary Anne: “I am over the moon that Hips is being adopted, but of course, I’m crying, too. He is a sweetheart and a very special boy, and I will miss him greatly. I had so much fun spending time with him and relaying his stories to you. Thank you for all your love for this crazy clown of a kitty! May God grant Hips and his family many blessed years together in peace, health, and happiness. I love you, Hips!”

Since Hips has found his forever family, your sponsorship has been transferred to another Advanced Needs cat: beautiful Prescott, who was Hips’ secret (and not so secret) love. Though Prescott found her way to Tabby’s Place with her body badly broken and raging with infection, she was an amazing patient and now dances about in the lobby. Though her injuries left her permanently incontinent, her love of humans is immeasurable. Prepare for Prescott’s wonderful stories each month.
If you’d prefer to choose a different cat to sponsor, you can meet them all here. Please feel free to email us if you’d like to transfer your support to a different kitty. (Otherwise, going forward, you will receive updates on Prescott each month.)
Thank you again for your kindness and generosity to Hips. You’ve helped to make this marvelous news possible for him, and we’re so grateful!
