Happy August!
If you were to visit the FIV+ Suite this month, you would be in for a surprise. There is a new girl in town called Adelaide. She made a strong impression on several cats including Buddy, Newman, Lester and Pyewacket. Each of them received a few whacks from Adelaide. Though she is a petite calico, she is quite the force to be reckoned with.
Fortunately, things have settled down since that startling introduction. Hocus and I have given her all the space she needs. I have a good feeling that someday Addy and I will be friends and have a lot to talk about. I think that she is going to like it here at Tabby’s Place. She is already spending lots of time in the sunny solarium.
I am grateful to report that my health continues to be fine. In addition to a picture of Buddy and Sonny snuggling together, I have included a picture of myself, in a deep and restful slumber. I love these lazy days!
I appreciate all that you do to make it possible. Thanks for your generous and loving support.
I leave you for now with a beautiful poem about this special month.

Mona
August rushes by like desert rainfall,
A flood of frenzied upheaval,
Expected,
But still catching me unprepared.
Like a matchflame
Bursting on the scene,
Heat and haze of crimson sunsets.
Like a dream
Of moon and dark barely recalled,
A moment,
Shadows caught in a blink.
Like a quick kiss;
One wishes for more
But it suddenly turns to leave,
Dragging summer away.
