Update for Shifty

Hello to my Sponsors!

This is Shifty, putting “pen-to-paw” this month to write my own update.

I ask you this:
“Where, oh where has my Correspondent Kim gone?
Oh where, oh where can she be?”

What’s that, you say?

The FLU?

I received many a message from my correspondent from her sickbed, worried about how I was doing!  Her volunteer friends here at Tabby’s Place made sure to check on me on her behalf.  They assured me that as soon as she was well enough, she would return to Tabby’s Place to see me.

So I guess I am “solo” this time.

I feel blessed to remain in good health (unlike Kim) and happy to report that I feel well.  So well, in fact, that I thought it was time to be a little friendlier towards the other cats in my suite.  One day, I decided it might be nice to share a nap with pretty cat Marjory.  Marjory is a tortoiseshell cat; her black and orange markings with big green eyes make her a true beauty.  I moved slowly and cautiously, to see if she might be receptive to sharing a nest of blankets with me.  Marjory seemed a bit confused by my attempt to snuggle, as this is not something I normally do.  Perhaps another day soon, I will try again.  No need to overwhelm her.

That is one thing about we cats at Tabby’s Place.  We come from a variety of backgrounds, experiences, and situations.  Some of the cats are young, some middle-aged, and others are seniors (like me).  Our interaction with other cats also varies, as does our experience with humans.  Sometimes, the pieces of each cat’s “puzzle” come together in a way that seems out of order; not in the logical progression you might expect.  I have learned during my time at Tabby’s Place that there is nothing quite like the “human-animal bond” to make a cat the best it can be.

But one thing you CAN expect here under the expert care, love and compassion received here at Tabby’s Place?  Those pieces of the puzzle ALWAYS fall into place.

Thank you, my dear sponsors, for YOUR part in helping to “put me together.” I remain truly grateful for your love and kindness and feel blessed to be a part of the Tabby’s Place family.

Love,
Shifty
(With help from your correspondent, Kim)
