Update for Shifty

Hello, Friends of Shifty!

I am happy to report that Shifty is in good health, and happy in spirit, too!

He remains fascinated by the comings and goings of people in the parking lot. Newly expanded, it can now hold more cars, so there are more people he can watch!  Shifty can often be seen either on a windowsill or on his favorite cat tree, from which he is able to overlook the parking lots.  I actually saw him crane his neck as he watched someone he must have recognized go to the side of the building where volunteers and staff enter. He is a kind of nosy fellow, one that enjoys his interactions with people he knows and loves.

It is now getting dark much earlier, and of course, his focus then becomes his dinner.  He awaits the dinner bell with enthusiasm and eats with gusto. When Shifty is finished, he washes his face and paws; his kid gloves always remain white and clean in appearance.

We are excited here about the expansion of Tabby’s Place—Quinn’s Corner is getting closer to completion every day!  Things are busy, busy, as we work hard to get things done in a timely manner.  We are still in search of great new volunteers to help us work towards our grand opening.  There is so much to do, and so little time!  If you know of any great people like yourselves that you think would be a good fit for the “Tabby’s Place Family,” please have them contact us here at the sanctuary Shifty is blessed to call home.  There are all kinds of volunteer assignments available, so something is sure to be a good fit!

As we move closer to the holiday season, we remain particularly appreciative of your continued good faith and support of our svelte fellow Shifty.  He is a personal favorite of many, and his good health is an answer to their prayers. I have missed visiting him as frequently; my ongoing eye procedures have kept me away.  But I sure do look forward to being able to see that sparkle in HIS eyes and his lovely “cat smile” more clearly when I return!

Thank you again, for your gracious gifts that allow for his continued good health and cheer.
