Update for Princess Bubblegum

Greetings PBG sponsors!!

Hope you all are doing well!

Princess Bubblegum continues to thrive. Today I brought her into Tabby’s Place to get her blood chemistry checked. Last month, her liver values were slightly elevated. Today, they were normal!
Her kidney values were still elevated but they were stable. Good news!

The best news of all is her weight. Princess Bubblegum is now 9.14 pounds! She has never been this big before! She has a bit of belly! I am so happy!

When you have an animal with EPI (exocrine pancreatic insufficiency), it is incredibly hard to get them to gain weight. Sometimes when you are trying so hard, these guys go way too far on the scale. For these animals, there is the Chunky Monkey Club on this informative EPI website. If Princess Bubblegum continues to gain weight, she may join these guys!

We are truly happy that she is gaining weight, but obviously we will keep an eye on her to make sure she doesn’t get to an unhealthy weight. Right now she is only fed twice a day with her enzymes.

Healthwise, Princess Bubblegum is great! The best part about Princess Bubblegum’s vet visit today: She does not need a recheck until December! She will be thrilled to stay home!

At home, she is also great. She plays and is being friendly. She was even friendly to some family members that came over a few weeks ago. She is not always fond of people she does not know very well, so this was a very big deal. She greeted everyone and let them pet her.

Princess Bubblegum still loves sitting on my shoulders, as you can see in the pictures. I was taking pictures of the two of us and my husband decided to make a funny face in the background. Typical Sunday here!

Thank you from the bottom of my heart for your continued support of this girl. She is doing so well and she is so happy. We could not do this without your support. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you.
