Greetings, Princess Bubblegum Sponsors!

Hope you are doing well. The weather here has been hot, mixed with thunderstorms. I’ll take it. I am just happy it is not snowing.

But why are we talking about the weather when we have a beautiful cat named Princess Bubblegum to talk about? Princess Bubblegum lives in an air-conditioned house. She does not care to chit-chat about the weather.

Princess Bubblegum cares about soft, fluffy pillows. She cares about food. She cares about other cats’ food more than her own, but don’t we all? The grass is always greener on the other side. In PBG’s case, the food is always crunchier on the other side.

Princess Bubblegum may not care much about birthdays, but we do! Happy 3rd Birthday, Princess Bubblegum!!!! I cannot believe she is 3 years old! The little tiny one that we were afraid would not survive turned 3! Last year, when she stopped eating, I was afraid that we were heading down a dark path. Thanks to all of the amazing veterinarians — and thanks to your generosity — Princess Bubblegum is enjoying a healthy and happy 3rd birthday!!!

Princess Bubblegum has been doing amazing. Her only problem is that she is not super fond of her prescription kidney food. I keep trying different ones. She likes them for a few days, then decides that she in fact, does not like that one. No no no!

Feeding time has been a bit of a challenge. But if this is Princess Bubblegum’s biggest problem, then I’ll take it! She is eating enough that her weight is still the highest it has ever been. She is very playful. In fact, Mariska does not appreciate how playful Princess Bubblegum has been. PBG has been jumping on Mariska and trying to engage her in play. Mariska is an older gal and is only interested in pets and snuggles.

The humans in this house has been providing more toys to the princess. We give in to her demands, and she lets us bask in her glory. Sometimes, she lets us pet her. Actually she has been more affectionate than ever. Quite a few guests have been astonished that they were granted permission to pet the princess. Usually, Princess Bubblegum is more of the primadonna type!

Overall, Princess Bubblegum is eating fairly well, playing more, and being more affectionate. I will gladly deal with a little pickiness with food.
