Hope everyone is well!

Our dog who passed away two months ago, Aries, was a bit of a cat chaser. Most of the cats avoided him. Of all the cats, Princess Bubblegum was most able to tolerate him. But even though she tolerated him, PBG didn’t spend much time in the kitchen. Now that Aries is gone, PBG loves being in the kitchen.

Our blind dog, Marceline, seems to believe Princess Bubblegum is in the kitchen because she wants to be friends. PBG doesn’t appear to subscribe to this theory. I’m not entirely sure what is going on in either of these creature’s heads, but I definitely don’t think they’re on the same page.

Marceline (Marcy for short) has been submissively trying to play with Princess Bubblegum. PBG growls and swats at Marcy, but PBG must not be using her claws because Marcy thinks they are playing. Maybe a friendship is brewing? On the other hand, maybe Princess Bubblegum will start using her claws. I am rooting for friendship!

This week Princess Bubblegum goes in for her six-month recheck. She’s been doing wonderfully! She is eating great — in fact, she seems quite hefty. I am curious to find out what she weighs!
