Update for Newman

Update for Newman

Greetings Newman sponsors,

Newman is having a super fall this year, and he is wishing the same for you!

Visting him one early November Sunday around noontime, I came upon visitors inside the FIV suite and also outside in the solarium. Newman was hanging out inside at that point, but it looked roomier in the solarium, so there I went to visit with Lester and Wolfie (pictured below). They were enjoying yet another beautiful day here at Tabby’s Place. Within a couple of minutes of my visit with the fabulous duo, Newman came outside, perhaps to see me.

I don’t get to visit as much as I’d like to, but Newman has gotten to know me over the years. I could be imagining this, but it seems that he hears my voice (through the solarium tunnel connection) and comes to me. And my heart melts. A world with Newman in it is a much better world.

This month brought some changes to suite FIV. Newcomer Piper has already been promoted to our super Founder & Executive Director Jonathan’s
office. She is a very shy kitty and was hiding behind the cubbies all the time. She is adjusting well with Jonathan, and has been seen snuggling with Knox, even though I’m sure Knox would deny it. She is a very lucky lady!

As lucky as Newman is in so many ways, he continues to await his adoption day. This befuddles us all, including visitors.

“He’s still here?” Those were the mystified words from a visitor who hadn’t been to Tabby’s Place in some time. She was astounded that Newman hadn’t been adopted, since “he’s the nicest cat ever!” Although we’ve always felt that way about our boy, it’s nice to hear Newman’s awesomeness and “adoptability” corroborated by a visitor.

Dear sponsors, thank you for all you do and for loving “the nicest cat ever”. Have a great month.
