Update for Newman

Happy 2015 to Newman’s sponsors.

Newman and all of us at Tabby’s Place are wishing that the new year brings you much love and happiness. Your continuous generosity has allowed for Newman to live a happy life while he awaits his forever home.

The FIV suite has had some excitement this month. Newman and his buds welcomed a new roommate. Although round-faced tuxedo Mitt is a bit bashful, we think he’s just the kind of cat Newman will cherish: gentle, loving and laid-back. And soon we will be welcoming little three-legged Knox to Suite FIV.

Newman was obsessed with getting outside during my recent visit. The only problem is that there were two kitties queued in the walkway to the solarium, and the solarium was CLOSED! This isn’t something taken lightly by lovers of the great outdoors like Newman, but it appeared that the solarium was in the process of being spruced up for the lucky occupants of suite FIV.

Does anyone want to tell Newman he just might be too big for this cat tree? He seemed pretty determined to make it work, so who was I to tell him anything different? First, we’ll try this way — nope, that didn’t work. How about this way?

Speaking of bigness, the new year marks Newman’s 7th birthday, and it just might be a doozy. While it’s far from certain, there’s been scuttlebutt that someone out there is interested in adopting Newman. This potential adopter is still thinking things over and talking with her vet about Newman’s issues, but she’s exchanged several emails with our staff about the possibility. Whether or not that particular happiness should happen, Newman enters 2015 a healthy, joyful boy.

Thank you for supporting our big guy and for giving him hope, health, and happiness. He is truly blessed! Have a wonderful month.
