Newman and I hope you are enjoying the amazing spring weather. It has been a long time coming, but it was well worth the wait! He is pretty much living in the great outdoors that the solarium provides so nicely for him. When the days are picture perfect, super duper, why be anywhere else?
Lester and Buddy are also calling the solarium home these days, along with newcomer Wolfie, who is keeping his options open by hanging out at the top of the ramp. Rumor has it that Buddy and Wolfie have become quite close, but Buddy is still clearly showing his affection for Newman every chance he gets. During our visit I saw Buddy approach Newman, nuzzle him and rub against him. Pretty clear signals!
On the medical front, Suite FIV has the distinction of at least two superlatives this spring. Lester may be the most difficult cat to medicate in all of Tabby’s Place…but, according to our staff, Newman is the easiest. Or, as Karina put it, “He practically opens his mouth wide and sits still for his pill.” Happily, Newman’s health is as serene as his spirit this month, with no major news to report.
After saying goodbye to all the precious kitties in Suite FIV, I returned to the lounge to sign out. I did a double take. First, I walked right by the sink, and then something just seemed “different.” So I turned around and found Felix happy as a clam sitting in the kitchen sink. He looked at me as if to say, this is all perfectly normal; what ARE you looking at? He looks happy and relaxed, and now my list of where kitties like to hang out needs to be updated!
And that’s all the news for the fabulous month of June. We look forward to updating you in July. Thank you for your continuing and generous support for dear Newman. You allow him to be happy and to thrive until his special person comes along.
Until next month,
