Hope this update finds you well and able to find some peacefulness during this busy holiday time. A visit to Tabby’s Place to see Newman and some of the other kitties would certainly be a nice indulgence, and Newman would absolutely love to see you if you have the chance.
At times, I admit, I wonder if Newman is truly happy to see me. Sure, he seems happy when I come by, even though my timing is usually such that he’s taking a snooze. He happily gets up and says his hellos. And everyone else in the super-friendly FIV suite gets up and says their hellos, too. This is where Newman starts thinking of the solarium. There’s just too much competition on the ‘inside’. And off he goes again (on his way there in the picture below).
He seeks peace and quiet, which is easily found in the cool, wintry solarium. Not a lot of brave souls venture out there when it gets nippy. But those who do find warm, toasty igloos to get comfortable in. And Newman loves every minute of it.
Poor Newman has been on the receiving end of Lester‘s crankiness this month (that’s Lester pictured at right, with Bo). We’re not sure what’s provoked one black-and-white guy to clobber the other, but fortunately it seems to have been an isolated occurrence. Medically, Newman has enjoyed a quiet and healthy month.
Newman’s suitemate Dre got an early Christmas present this year. This very friendly yellow boy went home with his new adopter! Dre is the sweet cat who more than greeted every person who walked through the door. He demanded their undivided attention. Our dear Newman is a little more subtle, but we can only hope he took notice of Dre’s persuasive ways.
