Update for Newman

Update for Newman

Happy September, my generous sponsors and friends.

Newman here, writing my own update this month, with a bit of help from staff member Jane. Your faithful regular correspondent Donna will be back in October.

With this beautiful almost-fall weather, I’d just like to take a moment to thank you from the bottom of my heart for your constant support and love. It’s because of you that my days at Tabby’s Place are always a delight.

Speaking of weather, isn’t it just fantastic? I love spending my days lazing around in the solarium. Buddy and I have developed quite a friendship. He is really coming around to the humans, and I’d like to think that I’ve played a huge role in his changed behavior. If you are lucky enough to visit us, just give him a moment and see how I’ve taught him to trust and love all humans. You’ll see. (You can get a glimpse of our friendship in the photo below.)

Apparently, I’ve lost a bit of weight – not quite a pound. But as Dr. C puts it “Newman is not underweight – at all.” I just love her. She takes such good care of us all.

I still remain on all of my suitemates’ “good” sides. Some days, the issues between Dre and Edward cause some interesting altercations in our suite. Edward does not take kindly to Dre trying to hog all the human attention. Edward is quite a force to be reckoned with at these times, despite his cerebellar hypoplasia (a neurological condition that causes him to wobble). I must say, I’m impressed with the way he handles himself!

The good news is the great Dr. C has decided to wean me off my antibiotic. My chronic diarrhea has stopped, and for that I’m thankful. This bodes well for my chances at adoption. Besides being off daily meds, I am adorable, which raises my chances even more.

And so my dear sponsors, I end another month happy and in good health. Until October, I remain your loving Newman.
