Update for Mona

Happy new year, dear sponsor!I hope that you are well, as we begin 2018 together.

How about the crazy weather and temperature swings that we’ve been experiencing? I am a nature girl and enjoy all temperatures, so I do get a little disappointed when the solarium is closed due to bitterly cold temperatures. And that is what happened!
For several days Tabby’s Place staff totally shut off access to the outdoors until the world warmed up. Temperatures in Ringoes, NJ were below zero, and the staff needed to keep us safe and warm. The cats in our suite snuggled together indoors, waiting for the weather to change. (Here is a photo of me sleeping.) And the weather did change — today is a rainy and balmy 62 degrees! Who knows what tomorrow will bring?!

We are all well in the FIV+ suite except for Wolfie, who is again constipated. He had to be sedated to have a stool removed because it was too large and hard to pass, even with enemas. He did well and came back to our suite on a high fiber diet to help him with his digestive issues.

Amos left our suite to move to the office of sweet Sherbet; our Executive Director Jonathan Rosenberg can usually be found there as well. Is that considered a promotion? Either way, I hope he enjoys his new room.

Every year on January 1st all the cats at Tabby’s Place celebrate our birthdays simultaneously. This year, I am 9 years old. I bet you can guess my birthday wish! Yes — that all cats will find loving forever homes. Each day I enjoy my wonderful home at Tabby’s Place, and my loving feline and human friends. One of my greatest joys is to bring you news of the FIV+ Suite to thank you for your generosity. I hope you enjoy catching up with the news each month.

Here’s hoping we all have a fabulous 2018!
