Update for Mona

Hello dear sponsors,

I hope that the New Year finds you happy and peaceful. I have been doing quite well. I hope that 2013 will be my year to meet new friends and perhaps find a home of my own.

In the last month, there have been a lot of exciting changes in the FIV+ suite. Our friend Abraham left a few weeks ago. He was adopted by a family that, a little while ago, had adopted another former Tabby’s Place FIV+ suite member named Chopper. We hear that Chopper has been teaching Abe how to play. We all miss that special boy, but we are very happy to know that he has a forever home.

I also have two new suite-mates, whom I look forward to getting to know. First, there is Hobbes, a beautiful marmalade guy who came from Seer Farms, which is an animal sanctuary that was hit hard by hurricane Sandy. He seems a bit shy about his new space, but I understand that feeling well. Hobbes will be with us only temporarily and eventually be returning to Seer Farms.

The second addition is particularly exciting for me. I have been the only girl in the suite for a long time, which is nice. But sometimes I miss hanging out with a girlfriend… Now there’s JuJu! She is black and white and quite cute. I look forward to helping JuJu feel at home.

My health has been very good, and I am feeling very happy and comfortable these days. I spend a good deal of time with just my head sticking out of a cubby hole or in the cat tree. If people approach me gently, I love to have my head scratched.

Thank you, as always, for sponsoring me. I remember your kindness every day. And each night I send you cat kisses.
