Spring Greetings to Sponsors of Mary,
Is it true, my sweet sponsors? Is it April, as my correspondent claims it is? Hard to wrap my paws around that fact, as it still feels so chilly here in Ringoes, NJ. I’m told
we even had yet another major snowstorm last week. What’s up with that?! Still, my paws are crossed in anticipation that the spring season will indeed arrive and bring all
its warmth and beauty to our little corner of the world.
No matter what the season, though, my days are filled with joyful romping about
my suite, playing with volunteers and the toys they bring me. I also find time for my many beloved naps in fluffy beds, either alone or
snuggled up with one of my numerous kitty friends.
I’m happy to report there’s been no more coughing, and I’m feeling fine. However, staff
and volunteers made a rather embarrassing discovery this month. I apparently have loose stool that sometimes sticks to the long grey
fur around my bottom. I wish I had the control to stop this from happening, but my body does not always cooperate with my wishes. I’m guessing you can
identify with this feeling in some way. Of course my spectacular vet team immediately put a plan in place to keep me as clean and
comfortable as possible. They will check my cute little tail-free bottom twice each day to clean me up as needed.
With the warmer
months approaching, my fabulous vet team is especially diligent about keeping us incontinent kitties nice and clean. None of us want to
be attracting unwanted friends (such as flies) when we’re outside in the solarium. But I of course have nothing to worry about, because
everyone here takes such excellent care of me. This is all thanks to you, my beloved sponsors! Your sponsorship is why I have the top
notch care and comfort that I enjoy every single day. Thank you for loving me so much! Please know that I love you too, and I am
indescribably grateful for your generosity.
I hope you enjoy the pictures I’m attaching to this month’s update. One picture shows my
beautiful fluffy grey self in all of its glory. Aren’t I gorgeous? I hope every girl feels that way about herself, because she should.
If I could look in the mirror and preen, I’d do it quite often. The other picture shows the playful side of me that I’ve been telling you about.
I was wide awake when my correspondent came to visit me this month, and we got to play. It was super fun! She giggled at my choice to
play with the lone tiny feather on the floor instead of any of the fancier toys in the room. Gosh I loved that feather! I was
determined to push it all over the suite with the energy of a young kitten. I’d let it float across the floor in front of me and then
leap forward to capture it again with my paw. My joy was immeasurable! Try to find something that brings you that level of joy this
month.
Have fun!
All my love, Mary
