Welcome to November, my beloved sponsors!
It is the traditional month for giving thanks here in Ringoes, NJ and I have a whole lot to be thankful for. Most of all, you!! You are absolutely, positively what I think of immediately when I make list of what I’m thankful for.
Do you ever make a list of what you are thankful for? It is a lovely thing to do for your heart and soul when your life is maybe not exactly as you’d like it to be. I know that I personally wish my health was a bit better, but I also know that my “thankful list” is way longer than my list of health troubles. I have the most wonderful life here at Tabby’s Place, where I get the best of the best medical care and all of the love and attention a girl could ever hope for. And did I mention that it is all because of you? Well, it is!!
So all of my human friends here have been telling me what a dear I continue to be through all of my health troubles, and it helps so much to hear that. If there is one thing I pride myself on, it is my joyful way of experiencing life, no matter what challenges come my way. I can’t let any of it get me down, when there are toys to be played with and friends to pet me and cozy beds to be slept in.
My best news this month is that my eye infection has cleared up, so that is a lovely and welcome development. My appetite hasn’t been the greatest lately though, and I’m not really sure why. I am eating a different food these days—a special gastrointestinal diet, which I am told helps me to produce less stool. Less pooping means my poor sore backside gets less irritated, which means less discomfort.
My super fantastic vet team also still has me on a pain medication to manage any remaining pain I sometimes feel. They also started giving me an appetite stimulant, which will hopefully make me hungrier and more motivated to eat. I have always been on the slender side, so they don’t want me to lose too much weight. Maybe it’s just the colder weather settling in. Everything just kinda slows down this time of year, and I guess my appetite has too. But don’t worry about me, because all of my human friends here are keeping a close eye on me to make sure I am okay.
When my correspondent visited me this month, she found me in one of my favorite snoozing spots. She gave me lots of pets and we cuddled until I woke up a bit. Then I realized that our monthly photo session would be part of our visit. I knew I needed a bit of cleaning up before that happened, so I quickly did the best job I could. My correspondent thought you’d enjoy seeing a picture of me fussing over my appearance. A girl has to look her best when she is having her picture taken, right?
Then I stretched a big stretch and slowly crawled out of my bed so I could get closer for a more serious snuggling session. I know I still look a bit sleepy in my other picture, but we thought you might enjoy it because you can see my face so clearly. I hope you can see in my eyes how much I love you! Please remember to make a list of everything you are thankful for this month, because I promise you it will make you feel better no matter what is happening in your life.
Remember that I am sending you endless thank yous and lots of furry grey love! Until next month, be kind to one another.
Love, Mary
