Update for Mary

Hello my awesome sponsors!

I hope you are basking in a joyful July so far. I have enjoyed a bit of sunshine out in our solarium, but I mostly prefer the air conditioning inside. My correspondent agrees, especially with the extremely hot weather we’ve experienced here in good ol’ Ringoes, New Jersey this month. Neither of us is a fan of 99 degree heat. We were quite happy to hang inside in my cool and comfy suite for our visits. She says the heat
brings out my mellower side, since I was so content to just snuggle and chat.

So while suntan lotion and swimsuits may be on-trend for humans in July, urinary tract infections have unfortunately been on-trend in Suite A this month. Our staff and volunteers noticed that I was leaking urine, and suspected a urinary tract infection immediately. Alas, they were of course correct. And both of my best girlfriends, Pepita and Rose, sadly suffered a UTI this month as well.

But luckily, UTIs are as treatable as they are annoying. The simple fix of antibiotics and lots of love has fixed me right up and I’m feeling much better. Pepita, Rose, and I are all prone to UTIs due to our various health issues, so we take these things in stride.

I also had a resurgence of my chronic herpes in my left eye, but my super fantastic vet team decided it’s mild enough not to require any medication right now. They, along with my many fans here at Tabby’s Place, will monitor me closely to make sure I’m okay, and they’ll of course take the best possible care of me —
thanks to you!

Until the day my dream of a forever home comes true, I know how inexplicably lucky I am to call Tabby’s Place home in the meantime. And I can tell you, life at a cat sanctuary is never dull. I heard that we recently rescued a cat who had its head stuck in a mayonnaise jar!? Can you believe that?? You can read the whole story here (blog) We do some amazing things for kitties at Tabby’s Place. We even help kitties who don’t live here! That is our mission, and we all take it very seriously. And thanks to you, I was able to find a home here where I am cared for no matter what my health issues may be. I have everything I need and I’m a safe, happy girl. I am loved by everyone who meets me and I especially know that I am loved by you! I love you right back
with all of my furry grey heart!

Love, Mary
