Update for Mary

Hello to November, my dearest friends!

It is the traditional month of gratefulness, so first let me tell you how inexplicably grateful I am for you. My kitty words cannot begin to describe how much you mean to me! All the cat toys in the world couldn’t stack up against my love for you.

So my big news this month is that… wait for it… I actually ventured OUTSIDE!!! Yes, I am rarely sighted chilling out in our solarium. Chilling being the key word because it’s freezing out there! Anyway, this month I made a social media splash when one of our fabulous volunteers posted a picture of me sitting outside in a cat tree. Our staff and volunteers know me so well that the Facebook comments were flying once they saw the photo.

What?! Mary outside?! I caused quite the hubbub amongst some of my friends who adore me. I can’t say what was going through my gorgeously grey head that day. I guess I was feeling wacky and decided to dress up for Halloween as a cat who enjoys the outdoors.

Hmmm… I wonder how you celebrated National Cat Day on October 29th. I hope you enjoyed it with the special cats in your life, and I am honored to be on that list! Oh and guess what? On November 17th, Tabby’s Place is hosting a Thanksgiving with the Cats event to enjoy this time of year. Visitors will get to participate in fun activities,
including feeding us kitties a special Thanksgiving treat. I can’t wait!

And even more good news, sponsors. I magically managed to avoid conjunctivitis that spread around our suite this month. It sadly caught up with several of my suitemates, but I know our superior vet team will fix everybody right up. I also gave our staff and volunteers a bit of a scare this month when someone noticed me gulping. Since this can be a symptom of inflammatory bowel disease or dental issues, our medical staff examined me carefully. I’m happy to report that they found no cause for concern, and they will continue to keep a close eye on me as always.

I am attaching a picture of me in all of my fluffy grey glory this month. My correspondent told me it shows how pretty I am, and I hope you think so, too. The other picture is me in motion, enjoying the chase with a toy. Good golly, I love to chase anything! Toy mice, strings at the end of wand toys, little balls that crinkle when you catch them, you name it! It’s easy to get me to play when I’m in the mood.

Well, I’m off to take a nap in a cozy warm bed. Go forth into this month of gratefulness, and remember how eternally grateful I am for you every single day!

Until next month, be kind to one another.

Love, Mary
