Update for Mary

Update for Mary

Holiday greetings to you, my fabulous fans!

The December chill is settling in here at Tabby’s Place, and all I want to do is snooze. Even me, and you know nobody loves to play more than I do. But believe it or not, each time my correspondent visited me this month, I was in bed. This of course is not completely unusual. I mean, I am a cat after all. However, this time of year inspires me to snuggle in cozy, warm beds even more than I typically do. One of the pictures I’m including in this month’s update is me completely passed out in utter cuddly bliss in my fluffy bed of choice. The other picture is of me and a group of my buddies in Suite A, all of us together in one big kitty bed cluster! It is fun napping alone, but even more fun to nap with friends!

Speaking of friends, I must tell you that you are the bestest friends a girl like me could ever dream of having. And because you love me, I know you will hang in there with me as I share my “leaky” news this month. My super fantastic vet team is monitoring me for extra leakiness of urine and diarrhea, which is of course quite embarrassing for me — but I know you love me anyway. There was concern that I had another urinary tract infection, but I am grateful to report that testing revealed no such thing. I am on medication to resolve my leaky diarrhea, and I’m hopeful that by next month’s update, that will be behind me. Ha! Get it? Behind me? A girl has to joke about these things.

A strong sense of humor is truly required to live, work, or volunteer at Tabby’s Place. Even goofy news is good news, especially when a health scare proves to be nothing at all. I apparently gave everyone here quite a scare when a strange lump was detected on my little body. But no worries, my beloved sponsors, it was nothing more than a glob of fat. I think I am in good company with everyone else who accumulates a bit of extra fat this time of year. Don’t you agree? My heroic vet team will continue to monitor my lump for any growth, but they’ve assured me that it’s nothing to be too worried about.

So I hope you enjoy whatever celebrations you are celebrating and however you are celebrating them this month. All that matters is that we take time to gather with the humans and felines we love. And maybe other creatures too, but we all know that the cats are the favorites!

During this month of holiday gatherings, please do visit me if you can so I can tell you how much I love you in person. And if you are too far away for a visit, I will send my love to you using my magical long-distance kitty powers. Thank you for everything you do for me! Your generosity is what gives me the superior care and love I receive every single day.

Oh, and please tell everyone you know that Tabby’s Place has lowered their adoption fees to $50 for the entire month of December. It is a purrfect time to welcome a new kitty (or two!) into your home!

Until next month, be kind to one another.

Love, Mary
