Dear Team Luna,

Happy, happy holidays to you!  ! There’s always a festive feline buzz at Tabby’s Place this time of year, but the progress on Quinn’s Corner has added even greater joy to our boisterous celebrations! Each and every kitten and cat seems more than a bit gleeful about our new digs and the opportunity to expand our community to other cats in need. If all goes to plan, we’ll be celebrating a Grand Opening in spring or summer of 2023. You will be among the first to know when we set that date!

Of course, in the thick of it all is one exuberant little lady named Luna.  As stern and stoic as she can be about performing her appointed tasks here at Tabby’s Place, she has been completely unable to hide the hint of a smile from behind her pretty whiskers.  We all know that Luna is quite self-satisfied when things are shipshape in her world –“Mistress of Her Domain” and all that.  Yet, somehow this is different.  It’s almost as if she knows something the rest of us don’t … and she’s not telling a single soul.

Yes, our lovely little Luna seems to have a secret — one that maybe only a few others here at Tabby’s Place seem to share.  And they’re not talking! Mum’s the word!

Well, if truth be told, rumors abound, and many a whispered conversation takes place in our hallowed halls. Heads are turning and tongues are wagging (human and feline alike). Just what does Luna have up the sleeve of her lab coat?  And why does she seem to have a little extra prance in her step?

Frankly, we’ve all been wondering why Denise and the rest of the medical suite staff seem to smile a bit more brightly when Luna passes by and then, wistfully, turn back to their work.  Why does our goofy, lovestruck Angelo look at Luna and look at Luna and look at Luna, as if he just can’t get enough of her each day? There seems to be a little bit of longing in his eyes for her and, while that isn’t entirely unusual, it is a bit disconcerting.

Many a whisper is on the wind.  Something is up! What is the secret Luna carries with her on her rounds?  And why does she seem so exuberant at times and yet just a bit tearful at others? What the heck is going on?

Now, through the grapevine, I’ve heard that some of you have already guessed that big changes are afoot. Shhhhh!  Luna intends to put a stop to all the endless speculation, but all in due time. On her own schedule. When she is certain her ducks are in a row. When she’s sure she is ready.

And, after all Luna has done for all of us, we must be kind enough to give her that.  Respect her wishes.  Hold your breath just a little bit longer, gang:  Luna’s about to make a BIG ANNOUNCEMENT, and, boy, is it a doozy!  One that is sure to warm your hearts and make your spirits bright – the essence of Christmas, Hanukkah and Kwanzaa all rolled into one.  Stay tuned. You can be sure I’ll keep you posted!
