Dear Friends,
We’re all falling apart in the FIV+ Suite. Well, not all of us, but many of us. And not exactly falling apart, but rather dealing with some pesky health stuff. My health has been good overall, but my right eye was irritated and goopy recently. Pluto is on allergy medications, which are helping to prevent lesions. And Everest is losing hair all over his sides and was sedated for a skin check and biopsies, which are still pending at the lab.
We have three fewer cats in the FIV+ Suite. Creamsicle was quickly adopted and is now living with his human family. We lost little Noire, who had been very sick. And Fontina was promoted to the big honcho’s office where she’s hitting it off with Eugene. They’ve been seen headbutting to show their affection for one another. Eugene is battling nose cancer, but he’s hanging in there and the angels who work here are taking very good care of him and making sure he’s comfortable.
Summer came early this year. It has been super hot and humid. That means there’s not as much outdoor strolling taking place. You should see Cotton’s look of disgust when he’s told it’s too hot to go outside. I watch him from the window in our suite that looks out over the lobby. Poor Cotton! I notice that often the cutest cats are the most spoiled. Do you think there’s a correlation?
I’m told I’m cute, but I’m completely unspoiled. Or maybe just a little. I think it’s safe to say that all the cats lucky enough to live at Tabby’s Place are at least a bit pampered. And that’s just fine by me.
I’m infinitely grateful for all that you do for me to ensure I’m healthy and just the right amount of spoiled. 😊
Love,
Lester
