Update for Kitten Fund

Hello again, Kitten Fund friends,

There’s a Kitten Room at Tabby’s Place now…so where are the kittens? You might be excused for being a bit confused about where to find them, given that so many cats at Tabby’s Place got new living arrangements this month.

Long ago (at least in terms of kitten generations), the apartment bedroom was the designated home for kittens. When that was converted into part of the new hospital digs, kitten space was reassigned to one of the Adoption Rooms. But this month, the Adoption Rooms were reassigned to be office space for our fabulous humans, so the Kitten Room moved yet again…and quite auspiciously.

The Suite formerly known as Special Needs is now our Kitten Room, which means our adorable little ones have landed some prime real estate. Not only is the new Kitten Room literally front and center when visitors enter the lobby, it’s also got a gigantic big window, so we can all ooh and ahh over the antics and sweetness of our littlest residents.

For now, though…it awaits itty-bitties. It seems like we should be in the throes of kitten season already, but we’re not, so for now, the new space is home to teenagers Alexis (sweet as maple syrup) and Obi (adorable but anxious).

You’ll also be glad to hear that the old Kitten Room’s final residents, siblings Torus, Tensor, and Tagalog, are feeling more at home at Tabby’s Place and have become much more comfortable (okay, sweet) with us. Let’s hope the new Kitten Room will continue to work that sort of magic for all the new babies we expect this year!

We’re still waiting for new kittens to arrive this spring, but we’re ready for them, thanks to your generous support. I fully expect that next month’s update will include news of new little arrivals! Until then…
