September is upon us, which means that this month we get the best of both worlds. Our days are filled with the last warmth of the summer sun, and our nights belong to the chilled breeze of what promises to be an early fall. This harmony of the seasons has done wonders for the mood among the kitties in Faye’s suite as well, as they have spent this month enjoying each other’s company. The cats spend their days lounging outside in their suite’s adjacent solarium, basking in the glorious sunshine, as patterns of shade and sunlight dance across the floor. Their evenings are often spend snuggling inside, keeping each other warm, as the brisk fall breezes arrive at the twilight hour. And to top it all off, Faye’s health has been good!

This new contentedness is a welcome change, as you may recall that in the past two months’ updates, there seemed to be a revolution brewing. There was talk of conspiracy, there was plot-hatching, and there was even a bite on the butt. All of that may have been attributable to the shenanigans of summer — a temporary lapse in judgment when the weather was too hot to handle.

Another possible explanation: perhaps the kitties were so preoccupied with some recent changes that they agreed to set aside the issues of July and August and greet September together. You see, there have been some major casting changes in Suite B. Beautiful Chelsea
was adopted in late August, and sweet Steve was relocated to Suite A for a change in diet. The changes seem to have affected little Carrot the most, as these were two of his best friends, but he had adjusted to the changes rather well by taking up with Faye and Cypress. This new-found trifecta is often seen snuggling together on the new multi-tier cat play towers in their suite’s solarium — a generous gift from one of our wonderful volunteers.

Yes, friends, all is well in Suite B this month. Faye sends you love and light and hopes your first days of fall are filled with warm, sunny days and cool, snuggly nights. She thanks you for being her friend and for your generous support.
