Update for Faye

Happy May, Friends of Faye!

Raise your paw if you’ve ever experienced an embarrassing moment.  Now, raise your paw if you’ve ever experienced an embarrassing moment in public. Now, raise your paw if you’ve ever experienced an embarrassing moment in public that someone witnessed and then told other people about. Finally, raise your paw if you’ve ever had that very public, very embarrassing moment documented and emailed to everyone you’ve ever known.

(Faye raises her paw…)

Ah, this wonderful age of the internet, when everything everyone does is seen, Snapchatted, Instagrammed, Tweeted, hashtagged, and lives on in digital immortality. If only we could go back to a simpler, less tech-savvy time when all evidence would suggest that the only thing I would have to report to you in Faye’s update this month is a minor medical documentation of a single episode of sneezing (no big deal during #pollenpalooza).

But there’s something else, something that trended throughout the halls of Tabby’s Place: it seems that the tales of our staff reveal that Faye had a singular, spectacular, irrevocably embarrassing episode of diarrhea—the kind that required an “emergency” partial shave-down. Apparently, this sort of incident is visibly more um, “extra” when you’ve got a very long-haired white bottom. In true diva form, though, Faye is taking it all in stride—sporting a chic, shaved lion’s cut just in time for the annual Met Gala.

Besides her trouble-turned-trend, Faye has had a happy, healthy month. She’s looking forward to putting spring behind her (see what I did there?) and strutting confidently into summer, her favorite season.

We hope that you, too, are reveling in the longer days and warmer nights, and that your May flowers and blessings are joyfully abundant! Faye sends you love and thanks you for always being her friend. She also asked me to ask each of you to pinky promise that the contents of this month’s update remain, um, discreet.

We’ll talk soon, friends!
