Update for Cisco

My wonderful sponsors,

Happy December and special greetings of the season to you (whatever it is that you choose to celebrate)!

I hope you are well, and I am happy to report that I am doing exceptionally well, also. It’s been a great month and I’ve been adjusting to my new suite and making some great new friends. When my correspondent visited last week, I was on top of the ramp drowsily hanging out with Chachi and Buddy; we were so entwined that it was hard to tell where one cat started and one ended! Since I was so comfortable, I didn’t want to come down for a cuddle, which disappointed my correspondent. But then I saw that she had some new catnip toys and a bag of yummy treats! Hmmmm…to succumb or not to succumb? Well, I resisted for a while but eventually the treats won out! This could be why some people are now referring to me as “chubby”? hah! And just a few short weeks ago they said I was scrawny!

Even though I’m the new kid on the proverbial suite block, I’m astute enough to pay attention to how things get done. I heard some of my suite-mates writing to someone called Santa Claus and asking for their holiday wishes to come true. I’ve decided to send my own letter, and I wanted to share it with you:

Dear Santa Claus,

Hi – it’s me, Cisco. I’ve been told that you are the person who can get things done this time of year. Therefore, being the savvy cat that I am, I decided to go right to the source for my holiday requests.

These are my holiday wishes this year:

For Jonathan – who invented Tabby’s Place so cats like me have a place to live and get better – I wish for the biggest box ever made, with all the thanks in the world inside.

For the staff that took care of me when I first arrived – for getting rid of my ugly ringworm once and for all and showing the world just how handsome I am – I wish that their kindness shine through them so the world can always see how beautiful they are.

For the volunteers – who come to clean my suite and feed me and bring me toys and treats – I wish someone will do the same for them so they can experience how great it feels to be pampered.

For my sponsors – who actually donate money in my name, so that I can live here and have good food and good care. They are the most generous people in the world – my wish is that they get back all the good they give, only 800,000 times over!

For my correspondent – who comes to visit me and cuddle me and writes about me – my wish is that she stops crying every time she comes to see me… She cries because she can’t take me home! I want her to know that I am doing great here at Tabby’s Place and I’m really lucky to have this warm, safe home now. Don’t let her be sad anymore! I know she loves me.

For love – that every human and every cat the world over could know what it feels like to have the kind of love I have been shown at Tabby’s Place. Truly, this is what the holiday season is all about.

May all your holiday wishes come true, and God bless you all!

Your Favorite Cat,
Cisco
