Update for Buddy

Dearest Buddy lovers,

From the moment I met Buddy, I’ve felt that ours is a love affair for the ages. As Buddy’s faithful friends, you know exactly what I mean. Once that sweet little man turns those electric green eyes your way, your heart melts.

And still, every time I set eyes on Buddy, from the moment I turn the doorknob in search of him, I feel that same surge of excitement and love. I cannot wait to see his beautiful face, his lovely white belly, his daily choice of feline cuddle-buddy. Buddy is so very, very special, and I know he is deeply grateful to you.

Buddy is happy, healthy and thriving, even as the cast of characters in Suite FIV changes around him. Wolfie continues to be Buddy’s main man, and they share the same favorite spots (tunnel, top of the outdoor ramp, cubbies). Buddy remains mellow, handsome, loving, and, always, the ultimate cat’s cat.

It is rewarding to see how Buddy has blossomed over the years. He used to cower on top of the crates, terrified of humans. He has flourished in the loving environment of Tabby’s Place, and it has been my great privilege and honor to be part of his life — and to share him with you.

And that brings me to some bittersweet news. With a heavy heart, I have to tell you that I am leaving New Jersey. My husband and I have sold our home, and we are bound for a different adventure. Few things make me sad about this great chapter in our lives, but leaving Tabby’s Place tears my heart to shreds. Spending time with Buddy has been a precious gift in my life, which I will treasure always.

Fear not, dear sponsors. My wonderful fellow volunteer John will bring you Buddy’s stories each month starting in October. While I won’t be able to see Buddy in person, I will join you in supporting him and cherishing every single story about him.

I can never thank you enough for your kindness and generosity to this amazing, beautiful little man. My heartfelt thanks and love to you!
