Our sweet boy has had a typical Bialy month – naps, wrestling with Tashi, and, of course, scads of yummy food! One of this month’s photos show him in one of his favorite locations, not too far from a food bowl.
Bialy’s taken a few steps in a new direction, though, and I mean that quite literally. For ages, it seems, Bialy has asked to go out into the lobby, standing by the community room door with that timeless and wordless cat request: “open the door, please.” But when some kind person would open the door for him, his expression would change to horror, and after a peek around the corner, he’d dash for the safety of anywhere but near the door (and preferably near a food bowl).
Lately, though, Bialy seems to have put on his big boy pants, and he’s actually *gasp* gone out into the lobby. He’s even gone as far as the door to Jonathan’s office. Last time I saw him, he even paused there to consider going further…and then dashed back into the community room. It’s only a few steps so far, but it’s very big news for Bialy!
However, lest you think that he’s now too big and grown up for cuddling, see one of this month’s photos. Volunteer Nikki, who writes for Gingko , can be seen cuddling our boy. Even better, from Bialy’s viewpoint, is a tummy rub on somebody’s lap. He totally blisses out with his paws flung wide and his eyes shut.
Here’s hoping some kind adopter can see past his medical issues and fall in love with the sweet boy we know and take him home.
