Update for Beatrice

I must confess that I think Bea is one of the cutest cats at Tabby’s Place.
You can’t tell from the photo, but she is just a tiny little thing, weighing all of six pounds, with a tiny, fat little tail.
There is something so endearing about such a little cat.

Unfortunately, it is hard to spend time with Bea, as she remains so frightened of people.
Most of the time, you will find Bea curled up in a tiny cubby hole in her suite.
It is a rare event to see her during the daylight hours when there are people around.

One night as I was leaving very late, I had closed all of the lights and was walking through the Atrium.
All of a sudden I caught a flash of something in the Special Needs Suite.
I slowly approached the glass and peering in saw little Bea running around and playing with a stuffed mouse.
It was soooooo cute.

But, as soon as she realized a human was wacthing her, she dashed back into her cubby hole.
Bea clearly needs a lot of work on socialization and we are going to make it a point to have people work with her to see if we can bring her out of her shell.

On the medical front, I am pleased to report that Bea’s IBD remains under control and she continues to be dirrhea-free 🙂
