Update for Bagheera

Update for Bagheera

Happy 2006 to all!!!

Bagheera continues to have medical issues with infections and diarrhea. He is still being treated with Doxyclyine (until Jan 22nd, when hopefully it can stop) and only eating prescription WD dry food. His spirits, however, have been great.

Bagheera has been playing with little fuzzy mice and having a ball. When I had him in his wheelbarrow by my desk the other day, he was throwing a mouse up in the air, catching it, and sometimes batting it out onto the floor. He had his wheelbarrow rockin’! I was having so much fun watching him. He has me trained well ’ I kept retrieving his mouse and bringing it right back to him. It is amazing how well Bagheera moves about. He is very dexterous for a paraplegic.

When the weather is not terribly cold we still go out for our walks. One day Bagheera was outside for a long time exploring new smells and sounds. He was up and down the curb (ever so carefully) and in and out of the landscaping. He even went to the spot at which he once sighted a mouse and inspected the area. When he was satisfied the mouse wasn’t there he went indoors. Back inside there were a lot of people in the lobby and Bags went visiting for some extra pets. He can be quite the ham. I should mention he did run over a few toes along the way. He continued around the building (inside) visiting the different rooms and people. He had a wonderful time.

Thank you for your continued support of our super special boy. Until next month…
