Happy June, Amber sponsors! This past month has been a pretty quiet one for Amber.

Medically, she seems to be doing better, which is great news. The anti-hypertension medicine that she began taking last month has really improved her eyes’ condition. We will continue to administer the medication. We will also have the vets do check ups on her regularly, to be sure that her other medical conditions are laying dormant.

Unfortunately, Amber has not reverted from her unfriendly attitude. During my past few visits, Amber has wanted pretty much nothing to do with me. I have not attempted to pet her since my last scratch, so I’m not sure if she would allow a friendly pet, or not. Instead, I’ve stood on a ladder so I could be close to her (of course she is always in her new favorite spot on the ramp, when I’m there.) I talk to her in a gentle voice and tell her how beautiful she is, and that I know that deep down she is a sweet and loving cat.

I still do not believe that Amber’s unfriendliness is permanent. I have faith that the friendly Amber will return to us! I think that you do, too. As always, much thanks for your support of Amber. Until next month…
