Happy Autumn, Amber sponsors! This season brings some new happenings at Tabby’s Place. Amber has some new suitemates! Two very sweet kitties, Bunny and Felix, are new residents of Suite A. These two cats are best friends – they love to be together. The other suites were getting crowded, so Bunny and Felix were moved to the more roomy Suite A.

Another new resident also inhabits Suite A now. This cat’s name is Desi. Desi does not like other cats! He is not an easy cat to get along with. When I was visiting Amber the other day, she actually hissed at Desi! I think she was trying to show him that she wasn’t about to take any crap!

On the medical front, Amber continues to do well. Her eyes are very clear – her retinas are reattached. Her kidney disease is in check, so she’s stable. She is still getting fed prescription wet food twice a day, in addition to her regular dry food. Apparently sometimes she chooses to eat the wet food, and sometimes she does not. I’ve decided that my next mission with Amber is to figure out if there are certain flavors of the food that she likes or dislikes. I’m hoping that if I find her favorites, she’ll eat them more frequently.
