Greetings, dear sponsors!
A big hello from the beautiful, one and only, Rori. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for caring so much for our sweet girl and being her very first sponsors!
I look forward to sharing her updates with you as we love her together. Although I have been a volunteer correspondent at Tabby’s Place for many years, this is my first opportunity to share Rori’s story, and I look forward to every minute of it.
As you may know, Rori is famous on Tabby’s Place’s Facebook page for a phenomenon we call “Rori Sits.” Our girl is an expert at claiming all sorts of objects as her personal property, and hunkering down.
On a recent visit with Rori, a staff member shared the latest story of Rori’s impressive “sitting.” When the large color printer in the Community Room was opened for servicing, Rori immediately climbed inside of it and got quite comfortable. She put up great resistance to leaving!
But although she takes her sitting seriously, Rori is a generally easygoing girl. One of her (many) strengths is her nearly boundless curiosity.
It is hard to be grumpy about anything when every new face is a potential Favorite Person In The Whole Wide World (of whom Rori has several…including you). “Ordinary” objects and occurrences are all opportunities for exploration.
Thanks to you, Rori receives expert medical care, so she will stay healthy enough for all her adventures. But you’re also providing unconditional love, acceptance … and even peace negotiations.
Over the past couple of months, Rori has developed a zesty rivalry with her Community Room neighbor Prescott. It’s a classic case of two powerful personalities that are almost too much alike.
The girls are both confident and people-oriented, with limited patience for other cats. And although they generally coexist well with their second-favorite species, there’s something about Rori that rankles Prescott, and something about Prescott that gets Rori persnickety.

We want everyone to feel safe and peaceful at Tabby’s Place, so it was time to intervene. Since Rori has only ever lived in our Community Room, but Prescott previously thrived in our Lobby, our silver tabby returned to her former realm.
At once, a glittery gleam returned to Rori’s eyes. As far as she’s concerned, she personally banished Prescott to a distant galaxy. We won’t tell her otherwise, of course.
We’ll just tell her that she’s beautiful, adored, and blessed to have a brand new family of sponsors (that’s you)!
If ever you should have a chance to visit Tabby’s Place, Rori would love to thank you in person. (Prescott would love to see you, too, but don’t tell Rori I said that.) In fact, we’re hosting a special open house called Your Feline Valentine on Saturday 2/7, and the first hour (12-1pm) is just for sponsors like you! (You’re welcome to come by anytime during the event, which runs through 4pm.)
But whether you are just around the corner or across the Atlantic, in a very real way you are right here by Rori’s side. Rori sits in the lap of your love every day.

Thank you for your beautiful kindness to Rori, dear sponsors. May this be just the start of a year that fills your hearts with joy!
Your correspondent,
Donna
PS: The cats received a special December gift that they’re excited to share with you: NBC featured Tabby’s Place on Philly Live! Click here to see some of our Tabby’s Place felines enjoying their moment of fame. Thank you for helping to make this possible.
