Update for Rori

Update for Rori

Happy March, dear sponsors,

Rori and I hope this month’s update finds you safe and warm. Here in New Jersey, we’ve been getting snow, snow, and more snow! We are not quite finished with winter yet. We recently had a blizzard (see Angela’s blog here), and our lucky Tabby’s Place kitties had another sleepover with their favorite staff members.

What could be better than that? I know, Spring!! Come on, Spring! I think Rori is ready for the glow of sunshine warming her most beautiful self. And I think we are all right there with her. It’s been a looooong winter. Until then, she’s spending some time snuggling in her blankets to stay warm.

To keep herself busy through the winter doldrums, Rori decided to compete in the Olympics (that is, the Tabby’s Place Olympics). She participated in the utmost challenging event of ‘Sitting.’ Rori was by far the very best and took the Gold! As you can imagine, there was a lot of hard work put into preparing for the competition. She shared a little of her experience with us, so here it is in her words:

It’s not easy being the best. My fans know that I’m training day in and day out to perfect my form, so it’s really gratifying when my hard work pays off.  I had to get a picture with my scorecard – obviously it was all 10s! The judges were looking for form, balance, and poise on an awkward perch, and artistic expression. I’m so proud to be the very best sitter here at Tabby’s Place!

Rori is doing what she does best

Rori has been in good health this month and in steady spirits. Just the other day, she developed the zoomies while the staff was having their morning meeting in the Community Room.  She was bolting from one end of the conference table to the other and then up and down the wall perches. I understand it was quite entertaining!

By the time you are reading this, we will have ‘sprung’ forward and will be enjoying extra light at the end of our days. Dear sponsors, you bring Rori light every single day with your kindness, love, and generosity.  Thank you for all you do for Rori and for Tabby’s Place. She is so lucky to have you by her side.

Be well and have a great month.
