A happy hello and sunny May to you, my marvelous sponsor!
Ahh, at long last, my warm spring sunshine has finally made its return, bursting through the Lobby doors! The snow may be fun to watch from time to time, but honestly, I am over those dull and dreary winter days. I enjoy sunny rays shining into the Lobby, and all that comes with beautiful weather! I am hoping you are enjoying fine weather wherever you are!

I am happy to report I have been doing very well this month! I have been on my best behavior. I know what everyone thinks, but contrary to popular opinion, I truly am a sweet and pleasant lady who is always agreeable and kind, and never, ever cranky!
My usual regimen has continued, including my personal and special treats, which I am pretty sure are actually medicine. Nevertheless, whatever the stuff is, it keeps me feeling happy and healthy!
Unfortunately, my friend Moo Moo shared some unfortunate news with me a few weeks ago. It seems my beloved boyfriend, Colonel Peabody, has not been forthcoming on his true thoughts about love and relationships. He has such a big heart and is so sweet and genuine. But, this being the wonderful Tabby’s Place, he wants to keep his options open and enjoy spending his time with all the pretty feline ladies that he can.
Well, you know what…? I am just fine with that! I know I am a beautiful lady, inside and out, full of life, and loved by everyone around me, near and far. I do not need a handsome Colonel to feel special; I am special just because I am me! So here is to my glorious independence as the Queen!
This month, we enjoyed holiday celebrations with staff and volunteers. From Passover, to Easter, to Cinco De Meowo, there is always a splendid reason to celebrate life at Tabby’s Place, enjoying special time with each other.
Since Tabby’s Place was closed on Easter, we secretly decided to have an egg hunt for ourselves in the Lobby. Of course, as the Queen, someone felt it would be most fitting if I donned the “Bunny Ears” and hid the eggs for the others to find. I may admittedly have felt a touch foolish at first, but it was soooo fun hiding treat-filled eggs. We had a great time finding them, and were quickly distracted swatting and batting them all over the floor.
When it came time to figure out who found which eggs, we realized there were eggs everywhere, and we had completely lost track! But, it did not matter: we had so much fun and laughed for hours! There are still a few eggs in my secret spots that have yet to be found… Since I am the only one who knows where they are, those treats remain mine to be enjoyed!

I am so excited for the days ahead. This time of year brings stroller rides, as well as enrichment time outside, enjoying sunning myself in the grass, and watching the birds and butterflies. I have already had my first adventure outside, when I joined the staff for lunch at a picnic table. There are many more wonderful days ahead, and I cannot wait!

So that is about all I have to share for the moment. Watch for my email next month, as I am excited to share more about my outdoor adventures, as well as a certain super special day that I am counting down to celebrating.
For now, sending heartfelt love and appreciation to you and wishing you wonderful days ahead. Because of you and your support, all my days here at Tabby’s Place are better than I could ever dream. I am always grateful for you.
Until next month…
Lots of love,
Queen Olive
