June’s Journal #28
Good A.M., Tabby’s Place followers, Sponsors and cat lovers everywhere. Welcome to my latest October 15th journal…
It is a glorious Fall day once again. And here at the Sanctuary, all the “hoomans” are talking about the beautiful fall foliage, hayrides, apple cider, and pumpkin spice everything. I don’t know about any of that, but I do know that I am so happy to be here at Tabby’s Place with so much love and caring.
We are approaching Halloween, and that is not a good time for black cats to be out and about. I am mostly all black, but Scribe found some white hairs on my chest and legs. Just the same, I am glad I am safe here at Tabby’s and hope that the staff will give me some extra treats just for being here.
I am enjoying a wonderful month of good health. Since I am paralyzed and the staff has to express me several times a day, I am prone to UTI’s ( urinary tract infections ). But I am having none of that since I had one a long time ago. It was not pleasant. Rest assured, I am being well taken care of. I get my mani’s and pedi’s on a regular basis and I get checked out from head to paw all the time to be sure I stay healthy and happy.
So I am spending time with the staff at their meetings like I always have been doing for a while now. I have to keep an eye on them to be sure they are conducting business and to keep them on their toes. When I am off-duty, I spend time with Puzzle. Puzzle and I have been sharing the big bed in the Community Room on a regular basis. I still love my cat trees and have no problem pulling myself up into them. But it is nice to have a friend to be with close by and to share “kitty time” together. Sometimes I get myself under the covers and no one can find me until I pull myself out. It is fun to fool the staff like that.
So, dear sponsors and cat lovers, please come visit me at Tabby’s Place. I would love to meet you all and to see you here. Maybe one of you out there who has experience with special needs kitties will consider adopting me. I love it here at the Sanctuary, but I know it is always a wonderful thing when kitties are adopted. I would really be forever grateful if I had my very own person. Have a wonderful month and a safe and happy Halloween.
Hugs and kitty kisses,
June
