June’s Journal #27
Happy August, dear Sponsors and cat lovers. It’s me, June, and I have some news for you.
Scribe came to visit me on Sunday. But she stopped at the FIV+ Suite first to visit Toby, a return from a sad situation. Toby’s dad was a friend of my Scribe, but he passed away a few weeks ago and Toby came back to his former home here at Tabby’s Place. So when you come to visit me, go and visit Toby, as he loves people and purrs up a storm when he is petted.
Scribe found me in one of the cat trees in the community room all tucked away in the back. She sat on the floor and started to talk to me and give me my ear, chin, under chin and back rubs. But, then we were interrupted by Nina, who tumbled over and found her way into Scribe’s lap. I just looked on as I know Nina is a CH cat and has special needs like me. I was really liking all my rubs today. While Scribe was petting me, Nina tried to steal her pen and she put her paws on my journal book. I think she wanted pets, too. So she got them.
Scribe said my ear looks really good. In fact, unless you look close, you can’t tell that I had surgery a while back. She tried to play with a catnip toy with me, but I was not that interested. Nina, however, stole the show and played kitty soccer with the soft toy. Then she rolled over on her belly for a nice tummy rub.
It was so quiet in my room today… the only sound was the water fountain as all of the kitties were taking their post-breakfast pre-lunch naps. Scoots did come by for a second, but, as her name dictates, scooted away to another corner.
Scribe wanted to put me in her lap, but I was not having it. I raced away and made a path across the Community Room and went under the table. I guess Scribe finally figured out that I wanted my nap, too.
So, dear Sponsors and Tabby’s Place friends, please come and visit me here at the sanctuary and plan to give me some back, ear, cheek and under chin rubs as I love those a lot. And if anyone out there would love a Special Needs kitty, I am your girl.
Stay safe and cool,
June
