Shea continues to earn the “good citizenship award” in the FIV Suite. In some ways, this is easy, since there are some bad actors in there. Rufus, Lester and Knickers seem frequently to be looking for trouble.
On the other hand, this can make it more difficult to behave, since it is easy become collateral damage in a scuffle. And you can’t blame a cat for defending himself.
Somehow, Shea simply stays above the fray. If there’s trouble, he’s not in the area. He’s hanging out with a gentle friend or enjoying the sunshine in the Solarium. This will be a useful characteristic in the near future, as we have three new guys joining the FIV crew within the next 3-4 weeks.
Shea’s health continues to be good (he will have his heart recheck within the next year). I have also noticed that he looks more robust than previously. He was always a “scrawny kid,” but he seems to have filled out now.
