Update for Mona

Hello dear sponsors,

It has been a bittersweet month for us in the FIV+ Room.

First, the sad news about Pyewacket. You may remember that he was recently diagnosed with cancer. We had hoped that his medication would give him a bit more time with us. But that wasn’t the case, and I was very sad to say goodbye to him. I really enjoyed being his suitemate, and will miss him.

At the same time, we have two new additions to the suite. Amos is a semi-feral guy, who currently spends most of his time out of sight. Once I get a chance to get to know him, I will report back to you.

Then there is McNulty, who adores humans. He is still getting used to being with so many other cats, but he has a sweet nature, and I am hopeful that one day he and I will be good friends.

We have had a lot of visitors to our Suite this past month, many of whom wanted to spend time with Pyewacket, or visit the two newcomers. I have also enjoyed their attention, and look forward to hosting more visitors in the coming months.

The last few days have been very beautiful, and it lets us know that spring is just around the corner. I am anxiously anticipating wonderful long days in the solarium. Here is a haiku in honor of the new season:

winter becomes spring…

a robin watches me

watch her

As always, I am grateful for your love and support, which warms me like the sun.

Be well, and I will talk to you next month.
