What a beautiful month it has been! I have been lounging in my beloved solarium, soaking in the heat and humidity. You might think that, with such a luxurious fur coat, I would be hiding in air conditioning. Nope, I love the sun. Even Charlie, who usually prefers being inside, has made an appearance in our outdoor oasis.
It has been a mellow few weeks for all of us in FIV+ suite. We are all very happy that Lester has resolved his GI issues (no more diarrhea, and no prescription diet!).
But for some reason, my dear boy Hocus has taken to urinating outside the litter boxes. There appears to be no medical reason for this. Up to this point, he has not confided in me about this subject.
Meanwhile, the other girl in our suite, Addy, has been charming all visitors. I have noticed that, as soon as anyone walks into the solarium and sits down, she jumps on their lap. She seems so comfortable with people and loves being petted. I also have been letting folks gently pet me, but I haven’t jumped on anyone’s lap…yet!
In my spare time, just for fun, I have been experimenting with a novel way of eating my food. As my correspondents were leaving the solarium one Sunday, they saw me involved in the creative process. Rather than eating the food by mouth, I thought that I would try using my paw! I dip it into the food and then lick it off. This eating technique is not only fun, it seems a little more dignified. I might try a spoon and fork next. Perhaps this creativity will catch the attention of someone looking for a genius cat to adopt. You never know. I am a woman of many talents.
As always, I keep you all in my heart. You have given me such a wonderful life by supporting Tabby’s Place. Many thanks and blessings to you until next month.
xoxoxo,
Mona
