Update for Max

Hello dearest sponsors,

Once again, my correspondent Kim has permitted me to put pen to paw to write my own update. I appreciate being able to share my news with you myself, especially since Valentine’s Day is upon us.

I am happy to report that my recent check up showed no signs of cardiac arrhythmia (irregular heartbeat). I have gained a little weight, which is also good news, and will continue to be monitored closely for any changes.

I am blessed to receive good care and much love and support from both staff and volunteers. It all helps to keep me a healthy, happy fellow. Knowing I also have your love and concern fills my heart with gratitude.

You never know when Cupid is going to strike at Tabby’s Place. I have often thought that Tabby’s Place has its own special Cupid, who appears in the form of our Founder and Executive Director, Jonathan Rosenberg. Jonathan says that, often, a Tabby’s Place cat will pick his or her own adopter. There is no need for human deliberation; the cat will decide for you. Time and again, we have seen this happen.

My longtime suitemate Sherpa was a beneficiary of Cupid’s work this month. Was it St. Valentine Cupid, our very own Cupid Jonathan, or a little bit of both?
Whoever it was, the efforts were successful. I wish Sherpa the very best in his new adoptive home.

Speaking of Valentine’s Day, I remain quite fond of my suitemate Sammy. Sammy is sweet, friendly and somewhat shy. She remains my true friend and companion. We are often seen sharing an afternoon siesta. I am grateful in particular for her company.

As I climb back into my perch, I resume my old role as full-time overseer of lobby activities. I had relinquished that role to Sherpa temporarily. I am once again one of the first cats people see when entering the lobby. Everyone asks about me. I like to be noticed, love the attention, and shine on the throne I now have back as my very own.

After all, I am Max, right?

I send you my love and gratitude, and wish you a beautiful Valentine’s Day.
