Update for Max

Update for Max

Hello, Max-lovers!

Visits to the suite of magnificent Max used to be predictable. I would walk through the door, and Max’s big green eyes would sparkle when I looked in his direction. He would be seated on his favorite window seat, from which he could see both the lobby and his entire suite. I’d find Max’s roommates on or under the furniture, resting on blankets.

But as the old saying goes, “times change, people change.” Is this possible with cats?

Here at Tabby’s Place, we all agree that there has been a definite change in Max. Once upon a time, he was an anxious fellow, and his behavior concerned us. Today, we are seeing a gentler side of Max emerging. I can’t help but wonder what has brought about that change. Is he mellowing with age? Has he finally realized that life is best lived as a lover, not a fighter? Is he simply comfortable with this particular group of roommates? Whatever has brought about the change,
we are all (feline and human) quite happy about it.

This change in Max has brought an unpredictability to my visits. It now feels a bit like walking into a soap opera. Will Max be snuggled on his perch with his favorite Sammy, where once he sat alone? Or will he have relinquished his throne to Sherpa? If Max is not on his throne, will he be cuddled with Sammy elsewhere?

Recently, we’ve also seen Max cuddled in a three-cat circle with Sammy and shy little Ella. Will these females continue to allow Max’s friendly advances?

Eek‘s carrier, her longtime favorite resting spot, had been removed for cleaning at my last visit. However, she seemed perfectly content sleeping out in the open on a nice fluffy throw rug. The changes have all been good to see, and I enjoy not being quite sure of where I will find everyone.

Max is blessed, at Thanksgiving and always, to have you as his sponsors. Thank you for caring for him, and for your continued support. He sends his love, and has asked me to wish you a wonderful holiday season.
