Entry #12Happy May, sponsors and cat lovers everywhere…I hope you had a wonderful Mother’s Day…I am a mommy, you know. But I never raised my kittens as I was hit by that nasty car and rescued to be brought here to Tabby’s Place. I hope someone found my kittens and took them in like we do here at the sanctuary.
And we are right in the midst of kitten season. We have lots of nursing moms and so many baby kittens to take care of. But that is what we do here at the sanctuary. So I am happy knowing that new babies will be helped and socialized and adopted into good homes.
Scribe came to visit me a few days ago and she found me in yet another new bed…a big triangle. As soon as she sat down on the floor to talk to me, Pixie came over with her cute little diaper and tried to climb into her purse. I think she liked it since it was the same color as Pixie… but I really know the truth. We kitties loves to climb into small spaces and kind of hide. We especially love boxes and paper bags. But I have my bed instead. Pixie sniffed Scribe and sat in her lap for a bit. Then she meandered off to another spot and left a few small piles for Scribe to clean. But it was okay as Scribe has lots of kitties, plus a doggie, at her house and she is cleaning small piles a lot.
Since I was trying to take my post-breakfast mid morning cat nap, I would not let Scribe pet me too much today. So she picked up the bed and kind of rested it on her legs while she showed me some pix of her new dog. Then she sang to me a bit and talked very quietly and told me the story again of how I got here to Tabby’s Place. She said she would bring me some books next time and read to me like she reads to her dog. I would like that.
She noticed I had gotten a new mani and pedi and that I was looking very silky. So she did rub my legs a bit and got the back of my left ear for a nice little massage. I like her massages…they are gentle and feel good.
Not much is new with me on the medical front. I am feeling so good here at Tabby’s Place and have no sneezing or goopy eyes like some of the kitties. This is a bad allergy season, you know, and some of my humans are having lots of symptoms just like we kitties with allergies get.
So I am hoping for a ride in the enclosed stroller one of these days. I see Pixie and a few others going outside with some of the staff and volunteers and getting wheeled around the perimeter. Then they stay outside for a bit and just take in all the warmth and beauty of spring. I think I might like to try that. Scribe said I have to be stroller tested first to be sure I would not be scared and try to escape. So I will have to keep you posted on this and I hope it will be my next adventure.
Everyone, please have a beautiful rest of May and stay well and happy like me. And come to visit me at Tabby’s Place. I am waiting to meet you all and maybe even that special someone who will adopt me. Until next time, purrs and kitty kisses from me, June….
