Update for June

June’s Journal #10

Good day, Tabby’s Place sponsors and kitty lovers!
Welcome to the Ides of March…and to many happenings this past month…

First, let me tell you how sad I am that my dear bff, Melanie, left me for Rainbow Bridge a short while ago. I loved her very much and she was like a grandmother to me. We made friends months ago when she was still able to walk and climb into the cat tree with me. I know I will see her again one day, but I am missing her already.

So, what a month it has been here at the sanctuary! There have been a lot of adoptions, and I am happy that so many deserving kitties are getting their furever homes. I so wish I could be one of those kitties. One day it will be my turn with someone who will love a special needs girl like me.

And the weather, oh the weather! Every time I turn around lately, there is another snow storm.
All the staff and volunteers have been working very hard to take care of us here and to be sure we are safe and warm, with plenty of food and meds for those who needs meds. I worry that everyone will be able to get safely to and from work to take care of us. So far, so good.

I have been enjoying my days with no medical issues. It is nice to know that I am healthy with no upper respiratory infections. Of course, since I am paralyzed and depend on the staff and volunteers to help me with my bathroom going, I am prone to urinary tract infections. Not to worry this month, as all is well with me!

There are so many meetings with the staff and I am just loving being a part of them, as I have been for months. BUT, I have made an enemy in the Community Room…Juliana came back and she and I have been having bouts of howling and hissing. She tried to dislodge me from my cat tree, and that is a no-no. It is my cat tree, and I take great pride in being able to pull myself up and to nestle inside where I can sleep with no problems. Hmmm, if anyone has any suggestions about how to handle this disrespectful little girl, just email me at the sanctuary. Otherwise, I plan to be the one in the cat tree and Miss Juliana can have the other beds scattered around the room.

So, I hope your St. Patty’s day is a good one and that you will also have a good Ides of March. Enjoy the rest of the month and let’s hope for Spring to be popping up soon, with no more Nor’easter’s….I am done with snow and with winter.

Come see me here at Tabby’s Place and shower me with massages and pets…I love those!

Hugs and kitty kisses,
June
