Welcome to October, my friends.
This is one of my favorite months of the year. How about you? I spend my days in the solarium, leaf-peeping at all the beautiful autumnal colors in the woods behind Tabby’s Place. I have plenty of fur and snuggly cuddly body weight to protect me against that increasing chill in the air.
My less than perfectly sculpted kitty figure may keep me out of the next GQ issue, but that doesn’t bother me a bit. It does keep the vet staff here monitoring my blood glucose, since sometimes it runs high (as it did this month), but I’ll leave that concern to the fabulous folks here who take care of me.
Plus, they discovered a wart on my shoulder this month, and although they didn’t feel it was problematic, they decided to remove it just to be safe. Not the most glamorous event to report, but hey…I’ve never claimed to be a glamorous dude. I know it’s cliché, but I embrace life, warts and all. Love, joy, and peace, people…that’s what matters. I don’t let the little stuff affect my persistently cheerful view of the world.
My scribe and I just had one of our regular marathon cuddle sessions, and she laughed when she hugged me, because I smelled like perfume. Once again, it must have rubbed off from one of my many admirers and snuggle partners. And to reassure me that I’m always GQ material to her, she took this super handsome picture of me to include with this month’s update. So go out there and greet October by channeling your inner GQ cover model. Why not?
Peace, love, and purrs…
Charlie
