Happy New Year to you!

I am sending you lots of love to start out 2017 on the right paw.

I’m a happy guy this month, because the sore spot on my back where my wart was removed is healing nicely, and I’ve successfully avoided the dreaded cone of shame. Licking at the wound was very tempting, and I couldn’t help myself at times, but I disciplined myself enough to allow it to continue healing.

It’s not easy, that moderation thing. I know that’s a popular topic of conversation among humans this time of year, with New Year’s resolutions to find better habits, drop bad habits, etc. I hope you can find the proper balance in your life this year to make you happy and be your best self.

Along with my pride about my healing wound, I’m proud of how I handled our newest roommate Giselle. She is a feisty young lady who brought some new tussles into our suite. Along with them, she unfortunately brought roundworms. It was simple to treat us all, though, so we’re rid of those pesky worms. And then, Giselle found a new forever home!

Now the power struggles and deworming treatments are behind us, but neither issue honestly ruffled my grey furry feathers. I kept my cool, as always, and enjoyed all the visitors we had over the holiday season. I adored jumping from lap to lap. As always, sprawling across every inch of my favorite visitors’ laps was the highlight of my month. When I had no visitors to keep me warm, I spent my time cuddling with my roommate Mona on the heated hammock in the solarium.

Life is good thanks to you, my beloved sponsors!

Peace, love, and purrs…

Love, Charlie
