Update for the Kitten Fund

Hello Kitten Fund Sponsors,

We at Tabby’s Place hope that everyone had a wonderful, fun-filled, and healthy Thanksgiving! We know that, for many, gathering around a table full of family and friends was not possible this year. We know that, for many, it’s difficult to keep up the holiday cheer. Through it all, you all have been with us, supporting some of our most vulnerable felines. We hope that this update and all our photos bring you a little joy on these cold nights.

Paige: from shy girl to a blossoming, playful, sweet young lady

The remaining Bagel Boys, Everything and Cinnamon Raisin, found homes separately. We received an update from Garlic’s new family that he is doing very well and is already best friends with his canine sibling!

Paige’s first adoption didn’t work out, but she was adopted again mere days after her return! We are optimistic that her second home will be Forever!

Tempura found her Forever Family! Despite having Cerebellar Hypoplasia (CH), she is a happy, healthy little girl and she found a wonderful Forever Home where she will receive the extra care and attention that she needs! We are so happy for Tempura and know that she will be spoiled and loved!

At over a year old, Rosita has graduated from the title of Kitten to Teenager (she definitely fits the “grumpy teen” part!). She continues to do fairly well but will need to continue to be handled correctly and with caution, as she easily becomes overstimulated. She loves attention and is very outgoing, but giving her two much love at once can stress her out. She will need an understanding home with no kids and preferably no other cats, but she is young and healthy. One day, she will find her Forever Home.

The Pasta Boys, Pappardelle, Rotini, and Manicotti have done great in foster and are happy and healthy. With a few weeks of love and socialization, they warmed up to people. Pappardelle and Manicotti have already found homes separately, but Rotini is just waiting for the right family to scoop him up!

After a few weeks of socialization, Wednesday has started to show her sweet side. She is still fairly easily startled, but she warms right back up once you start petting her. She will be headed home very soon!

The Creature Crew (Spider, Creature, Goblin, and Zombie) have been stuck in ringworm quarantine for what seems like forever! They have a tough case of these nasty spores, but it seems that they will be free of fungus shortly. Good thing, too, as their Forever Families are already waiting (im)patiently to welcome them home! Spider and Zombie will go home together as will Creature and Goblin.

Wednesday (Adams)

Nikita is a poor little ginger girl who suffered a terrible degloving injury to her tail. Essentially, the layer of skin around the tissue and bone of the tail was removed. As a result, Nikita had to have her tail amputated. Although she has now fully recovered and has been adopted into a home, her original shelter originally wanted to euthanize her, as they believed that her injuries were too difficult to repair. We are glad that we were able to take her in and give her the opportunity to have a long, happy life!

Little Rotini waiting for love

This past month, we welcomed two litters: The Insects and the Christmas Crew. Bumblebee, Beetle, Grasshopper, and Cicada (four all-black kittens) were quite spicy upon their arrival and were brought directly into foster. All they needed was a little love, as three of them were quickly ready for adoption! Bumblebee and Beetle already went home and Grasshopper will be headed off soon. Cicada, the shyest of the bunch, is not quite ready for her own home and will stay in foster. Our second litter, the Christmas Crew, is also in foster. Gingerbread, Elf, and Nick are a little bit older and may take some time with socializing. They are still young enough to blossom into friendly little house cats, but they will require some extra patience.
